The General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC), Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, alongside the Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts, Mr. Achille Bassilekin III, and the Minister of Women Empowerment and the Family, Prof. Marie Therese Abena Ondoua, attended the official opening ceremony of the 7th edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Week Cameroon.
This year’s opening ceremony took place on 18 November 2025 and was equally attended by members of diplomatic missions accredited to Cameroon and many promoters of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Themed “Productive Entrepreneurship and Opportunities Under the Subcontracting Law”, this 7th edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Week Cameroon targets brainstorming, promotion and dissemination of opportunities in the subcontracting law. These actions stem from a drive to support the development of a nationwide entrepreneurship culture. As such, activities have been planned in all ten regions of the country with the expected outcome being the creation of 70 new entrepreneurship clubs, the organisation of 68 awareness-raising campaigns in schools and universities, as well as support to at least 1,000 youths in enterprise creation, amongst others.
CNSC’s General Manager, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, heartily congratulated the organisers, encouraging them to further actions undertaken to promote private initiatives and support SMEs within the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). After the opening ceremony, CNSC’s General Manager visited various stands to interact with SME promoters.
