Raising awareness among SMEs about the benefits of joint initiatives and how to leverage opportunities and strategies to penetrate the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) was the objective of the training workshop organised by the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) today, 13 November 2025, in Douala.
The workshop, themed "Entrepreneurship, transformation and conquering African markets in the era of the AfCFTA', provided an opportunity to sensitise more than 70 SME promoters and business persons on topics such as the mutualisation of skills for SME development and access to AfCFTA markets.
During the workshop, Mrs. Armelle Makasso Belibi, Sub-Director for Shippers' Assistance at the CNSC, delivered a presentation on the impact of strategic transformation and innovation on boosting business competitiveness. In the same vein, more light was thrown on "how to access African markets" by Mrs. Aïcha Maliki, CNSC Sub-Director for Trade Facilitation.
Amongst the speakers at the workshop was guest expert Mrs. Priscilla Njankou, promoter of the company Africa Nature SARL, who shared her experience to help participants develop an entrepreneurial culture suited to the African context.
