CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The Minister of Trade, Luc Magloire Mbarga Atanga, launched on April 12, 2023 in Yaoundé, the Cameroonian capital, the online platform for the promotion of local products. Accessible at www.ecommerce-gov.cm, this tool aims to showcase the know-how of Cameroonian producers in areas such as food processing, agriculture, textiles, cosmetics, crafts, etc.

Equipped with a well-informed directory (telephone and email addresses) of local companies, this platform also gives access to many online sales sites operating in Cameroon. A list of products, a picture, the description of the product, the price and the address of the producer makes possible the connection between buyer and seller.

Designed by the start-up Kiama, a provider of IT solutions, this platform should contribute to strengthening both the visibility and accessibility of products made in Cameroon (and even their consumption), which are still too often overshadowed on market stalls and supermarkets by imported products. Despite the potential of this sector.
