CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC) is participating in the Sub-regional workshop on the set-up of the Maritime Single Window, taking place in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire since 8 December 2025.

This workshop, attended by delegates from different African countries, is organised by the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, with the technical cooperation of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and collaboration from the World Bank.

The CNSC is represented at this workshop by Mr. Nolga Fernand Douglas, Director for Trade Facilitation and Transport Observatory.  The session seeks to provide support to some IMO member States in Africa seeking to establish the Maritime Single Window, a technical tool strongly recommended by the IMO Convention on the facilitation of International Maritime Traffic (FAL Convention).

Functionality-wise, this tool is a digital platform that harmonises the rules applicable to ports handling international maritime traffic and simplifies procedures for the arrival, turnaround and departure of vessels, in a bid to improve fluidity and celerity in maritime operations, as per the compulsory directives of the IMO in force since January 2024.
