The Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) made its presence felt at the Central Africa Annual Cross-Border Trade Fair (FOTRAC) taking place in Ebolowa. A devoted partner to SMEs specialised in ‘made in Cameroon’ products, the CNSC organised a one-day event on 17 July 2024 aimed at providing assistance to these businesses.
Some 80 SMEs from invited African countries took part in this awareness-raising event. Participants were very interested in the two presentations delivered by the CNSC which were also very relevant to the central theme of this year's edition "Facilitating trade, promoting dialogue and cross-border cooperation for the socio-economic and cultural development of Africa under AfCFTA”.
Mrs. Sylvie Tangon, Assistant Service Head for Trade Facilitation, enlightened the audience on “The CNSC's contribution to cross-border trade: the case of trade facilitation infrastructures”. The second presentation, delivered by Mr. Dippah Kayesse Head of the Public Relations Unit, focused on “The CNSC's contributions towards the implementation of the AfCFTA in Cameroon”.
These two presentations were applauded by the participants who have regularly visited CNSC’s exhibition stand since the launch of this cross-border trade fair.
