CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

On 2 March 2026, the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) organised a training seminar at its head office in Douala on the theme “Women and Trade Facilitation: Easing Access to Funding and Networks for an Enhanced Economic Empowerment of Women.”

This seminar was part of a series of activities organised by the CNSC to commemorate International Women's Rights Day (IWD 2026). It aimed to support female entrepreneurs by mediating for assistance from public administrations, banking institutions and associations, notably the APEJEA-CIJ and CWEN.

During the discussions, Miss. Noungoua Natacha Corinne, Head of Economic Analysis and Mapping at the CNSC, outlined the institutional transformation of the CNSC. She also raised awareness among female entrepreneurs about the importance of participating in trade fairs. The participants were also informed about the opportunities offered by the AfCFTA.

Mr. Mekanda William, an expert from APEJEA-CIG, schooled participants on sustainable agriculture. On the subject of supporting SMEs, Miss Cyrema Tchachue, an SME promoter, seized the opportunity to share her experience. The two-day seminar holding at CNSC's head office building continued today, 3 March 2026.
