On Thursday, 29 January 2026, the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC) organised a capacity-building seminar for business persons at the conference hall of the Douala Maritime Museum.

Placed under the theme: “Understanding and mastering customs and tax innovations in the 2026 Finance Law, and their impact on foreign trade formalities and operations”, this seminar witnessed the participation of a good number of promoters of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) and licensed customs brokers.

During the session, Mrs. Boaba Franca, CNSC’s Unit Head for Information System Operation and Production, delivered a presentation on the requirements of the new ECTN version (BESC 3.0). Next was Mr. Guillaume Dinangue, Director of Projects at TRANS ATLANTIC D Plc, who presented practical solutions to issues related to cargo scanning at the Port of Douala. Mrs. Aline Kenhoug, Service Head for Marketing at the Single Window for Foreign Trade Operations (GUCE), delivered a presentation on the new features of the e-GUCE platform.

The session was rich in discussions and will continue on Friday, 30 January 2026, with issues relating to innovations in customs operations under the 2026 Finance Law applicable to exports, new tax measures affecting foreign trade and the role of SGS in securing and facilitating trade operations.
